| | | Full size carrots (how many ever you want) |
| | | Oats (a few cups, but depends on the number of carrots) |
| | | Molasses (enough to coat the carrots) |
| | | Sweetfeed or pellets (optional) |
| | | Finely chopped apple pieces |
 | In a deep or shallow pan combine Oats, Sweet Feed or Pellets and Apple Pieces.
Using a Basting Brush or other similar utensil coat all carrots individually with the molasses.
Roll Each Carrot in the panned mixture.
Refrigeration upon preperation is optional and will make the mixture stay on the carrots beter.
DO Refrigerate if not using immediately.
Serve to your horse as you would any carrot either let him/her bite off a piece or break off a piece for him/her.
These are to be fed as occasional gourmet treats and are not to be fed in large quantities. The tops of these carrots make excellent. |
