I'm SO glad to hear you had no damage! We had the remnants of Gustav on Thursday...I drove back through water to the bottom of my car door on the way home

yeah thats my problem, except a too small tube would made the pump run dry before tank overflow. I'll try a smaller tube if this continues. oldy enough, its

i never thought this was an issue! only difference is a too small tube won't overflow tank, the sump runs dry first! ok i will try a smaller tube after

Mike, this is a common problem in marine tanks where overflow boxes are used to bring water down to a sump or refugium. The key is to properly size the U-Tube
