Current Stock for Sale:
Worms can be shipped pretty much any time of year. But to be sensible, during extreme conditions or overloaded holidays such as Christmas, I reserve the right to use good judgement and hold any shipment until it circumstances are safe. :) This is only to ensure the protection of your goods! You may use this weather report to determine current conditions where I will be shipping from. If you are aware that conditions are not safe, either wait to order or notify me, please.
During the week I will almost always ship on the next day after I receive your payment. In case of unforseen circumstances, if your order is critical and you want to ensure it does go out the next day, feel free to contact me at Betta@mermaiden.net. If you have any other questions, please email me at Betta@mermaiden.net. The price quoted includes shipping and handling costs, unless for some reason you have special needs. For example if you'd like me to ship FedEx or UPS an additional shipping charge could apply. My price is what most places charge per culture, with shipping and handling costs added on top of that. I don't charge extra for shipping because it's usually cheap. =) Your cost covers my packing supplies, and all the supplies I use in culturing the worms for shipping. There is very little profit involved, as you can see. This is not a business and I'm not trying to seek my fortune at my hobby - I just provide this resource to others who need it. I live in the SouthEast USA. The packages are marked fragile/perishable to help prevent them from becoming crushed during shipping. I normally ship them via USPS. I've shipped successfully to as far as Canada. =) Winter weather is no problem as MW can withstand refrigeration for quite some time. If you live outside the USA, please contact me prior to sending payment so I can check the shipping rate for you, and ensure there will be no additional cost for you.
I prefer payments via PayPal. If you need to discuss other payment
options, please email me. For information on the care of MicroWorms, and what to do when your starter arrives, see my MicroWorm care sheet.
MicroWorms - Starter CulturesMicroWorms are an excellent food source for young fry from as early as their second day after hatching. Even as the fry grow and move onto bigger foods, MW are good for runts who grow slower, so they still have a manageable food source.
If you'd like more info, you can email me at Betta@mermaiden.net. I
ask for $5.00 for a culture, with shipping included in most cases. You'll
get about 2 tablespoons of culture mixture which is rich with worms. This
will grow to thousands in no time! Just follow the directions on the
care sheet to help them flourish (and how to keep your culture going for
as long as you want by keeping a backup).
