"MENZA" Best in Field DC Nefer-Temu Sambandrea SC
pictured at age 18 months
Menza is the girl we kept from the Jazz Samba Litter 2. She has beautiful angles, perfect balance, strong neck and topline, and dead-sound down-and-back movement. She has been shown very sparingly thus far, but has done remarkably well, winning the points (often over specials) almost every time she's been shown. She finished over the Western Specialty weekend with BOW. All of her points, I am proud to say, came from the Bred-by class. With very limited coursing opportunities thus far, she completed her AKC Field Championship with two 5-pt and one 3-pt majors, multiple BOB wins (including the prestigious Best of the Best of Breed at the 2008 National Lure Coursing Championships), and an AKC Best in Field to her credit. Menza is always happy, always ready to offer a huge toothy smile, always wagging her tail, and always curious and inquisitive about anything and everything, making her a fun bitch to live with. For example, she will be smiling and wagging her tail ecstatically while getting blood drawn at the vet's, or during similarly unpleasant event that most "normal" Pharaoh Hounds would best like to avoid...that's just what makes Menza the unique individual that she is! She's also a natural water-dog and a retriever. At the daycare I work at, we have joked that she must really be half Labrador for all of her very un-pharaoh-like oddities. Like her mother, she is named after my favorite jazz band chart, Sambandrea Swing, composed by renowned jazz composer and saxophonist, Don Menza, hence her registered and call names.
Lure coursing - Menza in action!
Menza gets to go to work with me...she loves Doggy Daycare!
