our feeling that miniature donkeys are Shepherds of Herd and Heart.
The Barnhart Q5 Ranch has been raising quality Mediterranean
Miniature Donkeys in Goliad County for over 11 years. Our donkeys
are known for their friendly dispositions and beautiful conformation, as
we carefully select and breed for these qualities.
We even have two male paints, which are hard to come by.

Padre Done Gone to Heaven
Surrounded by Angels, donkey Padre Miguel Hidalgo is in heaven at the River Oaks home of Rand and Lindsay Holstead in Houston. I had the fun of delivering him Sunday, August 21st. The iron gates swung open wide. Angels Mia and Randall rushed out to welcome Padre from the trailer. Hay and fresh cool water waited in his new stable and green, lush carpet grass surrounded him. And, affection abounded. Hallelujah!

We interviewed the girls tonight with the video recorder about what they thought about Padre.
Mia (5yrs) started by saying 'Padre our new donkey, is lovely and the man that brought him to us is very nice. He is the best donkey we have ever

Randall (almost 3yrs) said, 'Our new little donkey, Padre Miguel is so nice and pretty. He loves, ballerinas, Spiderman and Scooby
Doo!'
