Blacklaw
Stud is based in the beautiful Strathmore valley in Perthshire,
Scotland, UK.
The aim of the stud is to breed outstanding spotted and solid coloured sporthorses
and the rare Knabstrupper, the spotted warmblood from Denmark. To find out
more about the beautiful and versatile Knabstrupper breed please visit our History
page.
Details of our Knabstrupper and Sporthorse foals due in 2008 are available

The
decision to breed Knabstruppers stems from seeing them many
years ago with a circus that used to visit our village annually.
A visit to Denmark at a much later date confirmed that the
Knabstrupper is a fantastic, versatile breed with a great temperament
and of course superb coat patterns. Each horse is unique in
its markings which adds a little extra to the already exciting
occasion of foaling. They are also a little known, rare breed
which is why we wish to support them through our breeding programme.
