Hi there! This is a site about my guinea pig. Most of the things that I have on this site apply not only to my guinea pig, but to guinea pigs in general. This site contains information and pictures on food for guinea pigs, housing them, and how to groom them. There are also some cute pictures of my guinea pig as well as links to other guinea pig pages that a guinea pig fan would be interested in seeing.

Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines a guinea pig as "a small stout-bodied short-eared tailless domesticated rodent (Cavia porcellus) often kept as a pet and widely used in biological research -- called also cavy." Guinea pigs are cute, cuddly little animals that love getting affection. There are 3 types of guinea pigs: short-haired, whorl-haired, and long-haired. My guinea pig is a long-haired. We did not know that she was a long-haired when we bought her because she had short hair as a baby. I'm guessing that if the store had known, she would have been a lot more expensive! hehehe
