welcome to for cockatiels...

My perch in the World Wide Web tree and home of the Cockatiel's Handbook. Our site goal is to provide you with as much relevant information on pet cockatiel ownership as possible.

The Tiel's Handbook is a combination of my personal experiences, and stories from my fellow tiels, including my predecessor, Winnie. This handbook exists so that you humans out there can develop a working knowledge of us, the best pet bird around. Please note this site has been developed for pet cockatiels, not for breeding.

For information on how to navigate this site and find what you are looking for, please read the section on How To Use This Site. Also, please take time to read the Site Info page before using this handbook.

Many thanks to my human, Sam, for translating this from "Tiel" to "Human" for me, and to Winnie the tiel who wrote the first three versions.

Thanks for visiting!

what's new...

31.10.2008

Because of the ongoing feedback and popularity of this site, we have decided to stay open! However, you will notice a few changes, namely our sole focus now is the Cockatiel's Hankbook, as this is really the site's primary purpose.

As with any restructure, there is likely to be broken links and pages going on vacation, so if you see anything amiss, please let us know. In particular please let us know if anything still links to our old email address, sam@forcockatiels.com, as this address is no longer being used.

~Thanks, Sam.
