Thanks to contributions by so many Happy Trails
supporters, we are able to give our animal refugees the very best in
food, shelter, and medical care. Without the many generous
donations from people like yourself, all of this would be
impossible. Listed below are just a few of the many items we
need routinely to provide for the
animals. |
• Hay and straw (not more than a year old, cannot be
moldy)
• Lime or stall deodorizer
• Feed: Hog pellets, duck/goose pellets, chicken laying
mash or scratch (any brands)
• Paste wormers such as Quest, Strongid, Zimectrin,
Panacur, etc.
• Several loads of sand and dirt to fix the horse
stalls, the barn aisle, and several low areas on the
paths
• A large storage shed to organize and protect tools,
equipment and animal supplies
• Gas & fuel cards for diesel and gasoline
• Heat lamp bulbs and heat lamps
• Printer cartridges for our Epson CX4800 printer
• A concrete aisleway for our barn. The aisle is 10’ x
84’.
• Sleeping bags, comforters and blankets for the
arthritic or injured animals
• Large pet porters, crates or cages in good condition.
• Dog kennels
• Cleaning supplies: bleach, towels, brooms,
long-handled scrub brushes
• Tools: pitch forks, stall forks, leaf rakes, muck tubs
• Office supplies (stamps, 8½"x11" color or white copy
paper)
• Draft size horse halters
• For our hard working volunteers: bottled water, soft
drinks, work gloves or garden gloves; snacks on Sundays
• A post-hole digger attachment for our Bob Cat
• A 1 ton truck (to pull the horse trailer and transport
animals, to haul feed, to take pet porters full of pot
belly pigs to and from the vet) |
