Welcome to the new website of the Highland Pony Society which is generally much easier to navigate and allows for updating by the Secretary. Most of the HPS forms are now accessible and things are improving each week. Several design issues including the font sizes for headers on pages are being addressed and will hopefully be resolved quite quickly. While we are waiting for the designer to make the downloadable forms accessible, and as we approach the registrations deadline on 30 November 2008, you can download your Registration Application Form from here: REGISTRATION APPLICATION FORM Please be assured that required improvements are being dealt with as a priority. Welcome to the website of the Highland Pony Society, a not-for-profit Charity associated to the National Pony Society, which enables all the native breeds of the UK to speak with one voice. The Society, by its constitution, looks after both the Highland pony and the member. As a member of the Highland Pony Society you will enjoy various benefits - the overall commitment of the Society through the President and the Council
- the support of the National Pony Society
- the right to vote for the Council
- the right to attend the Annual General Meeting and vote on issues raised
- registration and transfer of Highland ponies at a preferential rate
- entry to participate in the Breed Show (open to members only)
- twice-yearly Newsletters
- Study Days and Open Days
We are extremely fortunate and privileged to have as our Patron, Her Majesty The Queen. Her Majesty has a large working stud of Highland ponies, and during the season, over twenty ponies are regularly on the hill, carrying grouse, deer, people and lunch, and that is apart from the trekking and driving enterprise at Balmoral Castle. With the stallion, Balmoral Moss and a broad-based line of mares, the Balmoral Stud goes from strength to strength. |
