My Juniors Career & Hobbies
Since this page is first and foremost on my life as a Junior and my experiences, I have to say my number one passion in life is showing dogs!!! I started showing with a Cavalier (Dunraven Mistress) when I was thirteen years old. I assisted with the breed at shows, and later moved into Chinese Cresteds and acquired my first show dog: Lejo-N-Januine's Uh Oh Dynamo (Dyna or Dynamo for short!!!) She is primarily a Juniors dog, though I exhibit her in breed as well from time to time. I LOVE the Juniors ring and I have been fairly successful. In the Novice Senior class that I started out in, I never got less than Second Place, a huge accomplishment for any Junior Handler!!!
My other interests and hobbies are singing (which, I am proud to say, I am VERY good at!!!), playing the flute (it could use some work!!!), drawing (I hope to be a cartoonist some day), and writing stories. I am an A student, but DON'T ask me how to solve a math problem!!!!
I also collect Beanie Babies. I have a little over 120 of them in my collection!!!
My fav shows are the Powerpuff Girls & Sailor Moon!! I have pics all OVER my room and it looks kinda freaky if you aren't used to rooms decorated completely in CARTOONS!!! But I love to draw and stuff, so I guess that's OK!!!
My favorite music is rock and alternative rock. I LOVE Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Genesis, ELO, Supertramp, and a whole bunch of other stuff. One of my favorite songs is Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

My Family & Future
I live with my mom and my dad, as well as my big brother, Michael. Me and Mike don't get along too well, and we NEVER HAVE!!! He is twenty years old and works at a job with my dad. I also have two other sisters: Michelle, the oldest who is 26, and Kara, who is 23. They are both married. I have a niece and a nephew who are Michelle's kids (Reno & Madison), but they live down in Florida so I don't get to see them much. My sister Kara is just as much a horse freak as I am a dog freak. When she was my age and younger, she used to show horses and now manages a stable!!!
When I age out of Juniors, I plan to apply to juge Juniors. In fact, I am REALLY looking forward to it!!! I want to be a fair judge and change the way Juniors is being judged today. Sometimes, I see some pretty unfair stuff going on in the ring, where judges only put up certain breeds or certain juniors. My dream is to make Juniors even better than it is now, and to give kids even more opportunities than they already have.
I hope to stay involoved in dogs in other ways, as well. I plan on starting my own line of Chinese Cresteds, Januine. I will probably start with Dynamo and add another line for flavor. My Friends
My best friend of 11 years is Kelly. We have gone to the same school and we live one street away from one another. She comes to the shows with me a lot, she is the one with the curly brown hair!!! My other friends are Deana, Colleen, Sandy, and a whole bunch of other people. I also have many Jrs friends, the closest are probably Elizabeth B. & Kristen, as well as Phill who shows Chinese Shar Pei but who isn't a Junior.
Friendships are VERY important in Juniors. You can learn from them, and they can learn from you. Don't just be friends with Juniors who have your breed or breeds. In fact, you can learn even more from Juniors who show a different kind of dog!!!

Juniors & School
I am 17 years old and I attend Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in Center City Philadelphia. I just got out of my Junior year, now its time for me to be a Senior...FINALLY!! I live just outside the city in a nice neighborhood known as Manayunk where mostly college students and younger couples live. I LOVE to walk down to Main Street with my friend Kel and go shopping.
A tragedy struck at the end of August 2000 that halted my Juniors career for one and a half months. Dynamo fractured her pastern while jumping off the kitchen table. Anyone who knows Cresteds know that they are VERY cat-like, and WILL jump on and off tables and furniture. This time, she just didn't react fast enough. She had to be in a cast for 6 weeks and we forfeited a whole lot of shows. She limped for a while after she got the cast off, and a slight limp in the Specialty Ring cost me the Best Junior Award I was looking forward to and striving for all year. This hurt me a lot, but I eventually got over it and now we are back in business!!!
Here are my greatest achievements in Juniors so far as of 10-31-00. I listed club name, # show ups, placings, age of Junior & their breed at the time, and others who didn't place (but did a GREAT job!!!) Believe me, even I loose...a LOT!!! :)My results will be updated from time to time.

Dynamo takes a TOY GROUP II !!!!!
