| The Houston Obedience
Training Dog Club was formed in 1964 to encourage and assist members and other interested
persons to train their dogs to compete in trials according to the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club Rules and
Regulations. H.O.T. offers obedience classes to the public and members at the puppy, basic, novice and advanced level. We offer three levels of Rally classes and special classes for those interested in tracking. Club sponsored activities include AKC licensed obedience, rally and agility trials, licensed tracking dog, tracking dog excellent and variable surface tracking tests and canine good citizen tests. H.O.T. supports the local dog training community by regularly hosting obedience, rally, tracking or other dog training or behavior seminars. We have also hosted NAFA Flyball Tournaments and were one of the first groups in Houston to have a Flyball team. Members of the H.O.T. Dog Club also support the dog community by entering in and stewarding for other organizations obedience and rally trials, agility trials and flyball tournaments and by participating in or serving as tracklayers for area tracking tests. We would like to invite anyone interested in the H.O.T. Dog Club to attend our monthly meeting on the First Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Spring Branch Community Center, 1721 Pech Road. |
