Iowa Gold Star Futurity -- What
a SHOW!!
OVER $400,000.00
COLLECTED AT 2008 STALLION AUCTION!
Magnum Psyche Breeding Sells
for $50,000.00!!!
We welcomed in a record number of exhibitors
and crowds to the 2008 Iowa Gold Star Arabian Horse Futurity
over Labor Day Weekend. The barns
were full of some of the finest Arabians and Half Arabians from
all around the country. Stall count was at an all time
high of 590. 2008's
Progressive Barn Party was the biggest and best one to date!! Food
was available in the Horse Barn, Cattle Barn, AND Vendor Barn.
Our 2008 Live Stallion Presentation also stepped it up a notch by
introducing RFD Television star - Tommy Garland - who carried
our flag during the opening ceremonies. We had 34 stallions
participate in the Thursday night live presentation -- the most
stallions we've ever had perform in one night. After the
presentation, Midwest hosted the DA Valentino party at their stalls
and did private showings of Valentino at that time. On Friday
the Gold Star hosted the prestigious Magnum Psyche Futurity with
Vico Rocco, Bob Boggs, and Mr Las Vegas -- Wayne Newton as judges.
The room was PACKED with spectators! We had Channel 13,
Fox News, KCCI Channel 8, RFD TV, and PBN all out with cameras
filming all the activities on the fairgrounds.
Radio stations were also advertising our event across the midwest. Our
purebred
stallion auction completed the weekend by breaking all previous
records and topped $380,000.00 in bids. That
total, added to a record final total for the Partbred Auction threw
the complete total over $400,000.00.
If the excitement of the stallion auction wasn't enough -- the
fun atmosphere of the Pirate costume party added to the fun as
well as our Capt Jack entertainer!!
We had many guests show up in boots, bandanas, eye patches, and
dreadlocks. The Gold Star Girls outdid themselves
as the Red and Black pirate wenches.
This was a three day party that will stay in our memories for a
long time!!
Prize money is CALCULATED!! We need everyone who won money at
the show to complete a W-9 Form and mail to us ASAP. We are
unable to send out prize money without these forms in hand this
year. Please

50 horses including Arabians and Half Arabians ... a couple
Friesians, several Draft horses, a mini, Quarter Horses and
Paint Horses. The weather
was beautiful and everyone enjoyed a nice, cool day which is
unusual for the middle of July here in Iowa.
Our 2nd IaAHA Cattle Congress Fun Show was
a BLAST!! We hosted 47 horses on Sunday, June
29th at the Cattle Congress Fairgrounds. We had
Arabians, Clydesdales, Mini Horses, Ponies, Paints, Quarter

Everybody had a great time and we hope we can do it again next
