- An Application should be filled out and submitted with the fees (US
Funds)
- Photographs of both sides of the horse, in one photo please turn the
head to show the face markings.
- Copy of the Sire and Dam registration papers. If one or both of the
parents are already in the data base, indicate "already on
file" at the bottom of the registration application.
Morab Horses born after 1-1-03 DNA and Parent
verification is required.
DNA testing of your Morab is an additional fee $40.00
members; $50.00 non-members. After the fee is paid a DNA test kit will be
sent directly to you.
For Parent Verification:
Already DNA tested registered Morgan
Sire/Dam: No additional fee. You do not need to do anything the Morgan
Registry will send the DNA results directly to the International Morab
Registry.
Already DNA tested registered Arabian
Sire/Dam: $10.00 fee (as of 12-1-07). A
request should be made to the Arabian Registry to provide the DNA results to the International
Morab Registry.

Sire/Dam: No additional fee. You should request from the appropriate
Morab Registry to provide the DNA results to the International Morab
Registry.
Not DNA tested Morab or Morgan or Arabian
Sire/Dam: An additional fee of $40.00 members; $50.00 non-members.
After the fee is paid to the International Morab Registry the DNA test kit

Registering a Morab Gelding or Spayed Mare:
If the DNA for the Sire and Dam is on file with the International
Morab Registry, you may chose to not have a DNA test done on the Morab
Gelding or Spayed Mare. Then the $40.00 DNA fee would not be charged for your
registration. To take advantage of this price break you must complete a
DNA Gelding/Spayed Mare Waiver Form and submit it to the IMR.

Registering an Older Morab
An application, photographs and fee should be submitted.
If the breeder or stallion owner is unavailable, please complete those
sections as fully as you can.
If the horse is already registered with one of the cooperating
registries (International Arabian Horse Asssn., Morab Horse Assn.,
Purebred Morab Horse Assn, Canadian Morab Horse Assn., North American
Morab Horse Assn. or American Morab Horse Assn.) please submit a copy of
the registration certificate.
The International Morab Registry may require additional testing should
there be reasonable doubt of parentage or pedigree.
Hardship
If you are having difficulty obtaining any of the requirements
for registration there may be an alternative.

For Your Information:
- Foals are first registered to the person who owned the mare at the
time of birth, unless a lease statement is filed.
- If you leased the sire or dam please submit a copy of the lease
agreement or a statement with the sire or dam name and registration
number and indicate that the horse was leased to you and signed and
dated by the owner of the sire or dam.
- Postmark date is used for dating purposes on all registration
applications and transfers. It is the seller's obligation to transfer
registration papers.
- If a contract sale is involved, the contract sale dates must be
indicated.
