The Association is an International
Colorbred Canary Club.

NCA has
Approved Judges. All newly
approved Judges are required to take a written and visual examination
for qualification.

A quarterly newsletter will be sent to
all members in good standing.

Membership dues are only $25.00 for
single or $30.00 dual memberships.

Closed leg bands are available to all
NCA members.

The National Colorbred Association has
an annual meeting at the
National Cage Bird Club Show every year.
Members and visitors are always welcome.

A seminar on mutations and updates on
colorbred canaries is given at the
National Cage Bird Show.

Clubs that affiliate with NCA with two
divisions receive 10 show rosettes, now with the New Color Melanin as
a third division, 15 show rosettes are received. Rosettes are given
to the four "Best Lipochrome", four "Best Melanins" and now with the
new division, four "Best New Color" colorbred canaries, all divisions
come with "Novice" rosettes.

Club Affiliations are $75.00 for
two divisions and $100.00 for all 3 divisions including score pads.

Recognition is given to to the
"Breeder
of the Year" and runners up in the National Cage Bird Show
catalog and the NCA Newsletter. A plaque is presented to the
"Breeder of the Year"

Points are accumulated at all
exhibitions that "affiliate" with the NCA. These points are
calculated and the exhibitor with the most points for the year is
awarded "Breeder of the
Year" status. Points are awarded as follows:
500 points for 1st place, 400 2nd, 300 3rd, 200 4th. This is a total
of 1400 points for the Lipochrome Canary Division, 1400 points for the
Melanin Canary, and 1400 points for the New Color Melanin Canary. If your local
club has all 3 divisions, there are a total of 4200 points per
exhibition. Any exhibitor receiving 1000 points receives the NCA "Master Breeder" Award
Certificate.

Colorbred canaries that receive 800
plus points are recognized. As a result, the bird now qualifies for
an NCA "Champion" Award Certificate.
