I founded Severnaya Samoyeds in 1986, when I got my first show dog and foundation bitch, Ch. Marchwood's Nicki of the North. In Russian, Severnaya means "Northland". To date, we have finished five of our dogs to their AKC championships, Ch. Marchwood's Nicki of the North, Ch. Orion's Luck of the Irish (Lucky), Ch. White Magic's Severnaya Girl (Sabrina), Ch. White Magic's Severnaya Kid (Kit), and Ch. White Magic's Northern Exposure (Maggie). My show dogs are also my pets and companions. I have owned Sammies since 1965. I am a member of the Old Dominion Kennel Club of Northern Virginia, the Samoyed Club of America, the Potomac Valley Samoyed Club, and the Mid-Atlantic Stewards Association.

• Dog Show Photography  I am now accepting photography assignments.  If you would like photos of your dog and are in the Mid-Atlantic area, feel free to contact me.  I am also taking assignments "shooting" Winners photos at Matches, Specialties, and Nationals.  Contact me if you would like a "formal proposal" or "bid".  I have experience shooting Conformation, Rally, Obedience, and Agility, candid shots and winners.

News:

• Kit and Joey passed their annual eye exams on January 13, 2007.  See their pedigrees for their CERF #s.
• Joey's Hips have been evaluated and she has been rated OFA "Good".  Her OFA number will be on her Pedigree Site.
• Kit congratulates his son, Ch. White Magic's Spirit of Light a.k.a. Nanook on completing his championship requirements, in a big way.  Nanook took Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the 2004 Samoyed Club of America National Specialty Show in Topeka, KS.  Also,  We are very proud of Nanook.  He is back in the Specials ring and he started 2007 off with a BANG.  He took back to back GROUP 1 wins January 13th and 14th, 2007, in Fitchburg, MA.  Thanks Judges Joseph Gregory and Kenneth Buxton.
