Sarah Hodgson is the author of nine dog training books,
including “Puppies for Dummies, 2nd Edition”
“Miss. Sarah’s Etiquette Guide for Dogs and
their People”, and “PuppyPerfect.” She
is also a respected weekly dog columnist for nearly four
years covering a host of fundamental topics. Sarah has been
a passionate trainer of dogs and their people for over twenty
years. She has coached many other dog professionals who
credit her books, training philosophy
and methodologies for their personal and professional
success.
Over the span of her career Sarah has had the pleasure
of working with thousands of people and their dogs. From
helping families select the right breed of dog for their
lifestyle and testing a litter to |
choose the most ideal puppy,
to resolving behavior problems, rehabilitating aggression
and basic training. Her years in the field has given her
the opportunity to work with nearly every breed of dog to
the great honor of listening to shelter dogs whose experience
demands an extra bout of compassion and patience. From helping
to condition good habits with young puppies to training
maturing dogs toward off-lead control, Sarah does much more
than command a dog’s attention. She respects each
dog’s individuality, listening carefully to issues
that arise between dogs and people, while calmly sculpting
her words into action so that both species can live together
in mutual respect and harmony. Sarah works from her home
in Westchester County, New York where she lives with her
husband, two children and their dog Whoopsie Daisy.
Sarah has passionately aroused abiding love and respect
between dogs and their families. Clients include such celebrities
as Chevy Chase, Glenn Close, Billy Collins, Katie Couric,
