Sarah Hodgson is the author of nine dog training books, including “Puppies for Dummies, 2nd Edition” “Miss. Sarah’s Etiquette Guide for Dogs and their People”, and “PuppyPerfect.” She is also a respected weekly dog columnist for nearly four years covering a host of fundamental topics. Sarah has been a passionate trainer of dogs and their people for over twenty years. She has coached many other dog professionals who credit her books, training philosophy and methodologies for their personal and professional success.

Over the span of her career Sarah has had the pleasure of working with thousands of people and their dogs. From helping families select the right breed of dog for their lifestyle and testing a litter to

choose the most ideal puppy, to resolving behavior problems, rehabilitating aggression and basic training. Her years in the field has given her the opportunity to work with nearly every breed of dog to the great honor of listening to shelter dogs whose experience demands an extra bout of compassion and patience. From helping to condition good habits with young puppies to training maturing dogs toward off-lead control, Sarah does much more than command a dog’s attention. She respects each dog’s individuality, listening carefully to issues that arise between dogs and people, while calmly sculpting her words into action so that both species can live together in mutual respect and harmony. Sarah works from her home in Westchester County, New York where she lives with her husband, two children and their dog Whoopsie Daisy.

Sarah has passionately aroused abiding love and respect between dogs and their families. Clients include such celebrities as Chevy Chase, Glenn Close, Billy Collins, Katie Couric, Richard Gere and Carrie Lowell, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Chazz Palmientieri, and George Soros, as well as many other dog-devoted people.
