Welcome from the Dean
Welcome to the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island. I invite you to explore AVC’s site and learn about our commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, our plans for the future, and our many successes.
Since admitting our first class in 1986, we have been a fully accredited College and have experienced remarkable success and growth. As veterinary medicine plays an increasingly critical role in protecting public health, and food safety, demand for AVC’s educational, research, and service programs is at an unprecedented level. Although our College is small enough to know our students by name, we are able to provide world-class opportunities and results of incredible proportions.
At AVC, we are focussed on fostering innovation and academic excellence. We are dedicated to educating the veterinary medicine and research leaders of tomorrow. We believe by doing this, we can best serve our society and become a world leader in areas in which we are uniquely qualified.
We invite you to join in AVC’s exciting future!
Yours truly,
Dr. Donald L. Reynolds,
Dean
