The Oncology Service is involved in all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. We are also
dedicated to the teaching of veterinary students and the advancement of cancer therapy through basic science
research and clinical trials of new cancer therapies.
The Oncology Service includes the
medical oncology unit and the radiation oncology unit. Being part of a teaching hospital means that we have
access to many specialists in other disciplines and advanced technologies such as computerized treatment
planning and state of art imaging. This allows us to provide optimal care for our patients. Some of the
services at the VMTH that we work closely with include: clinical pathology, dentistry, dermatology,
emergency/critical care, histopathology, internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, radiology and surgery.
