Another one of the biggest myths that people come up with is that one size fits most means that a certain costume will fit your chihuahua. You need to realize, that just because something is meant for your toy breed, that the size you order may be meant for larger chihuahuas, and not the teacup variety. Therefore, it’s crucially important to make sure your dog is sized right for the clothes you order, and know what size to get them. Fortunately, we’re going to break it down a little bit for you.
Most chihuahuas range anywhere from XS (extra small) to XXS, but there are some larger chihuahuas that fall into the “small” size range. While you may not see many chihuahuas that are as big as a Jack Russel, it is possible that your dog’s girth and length can be longer than eight and a half inches.
